We are all fallen, and incapable of “sinning no more”.
This is why we require repeated repentance and forgiveness, along with continual prayer.
To provide the strength and the grace to do better.
Knowing we will always fall short.
Know anybody who hasn’t sinned in the last year?
ya...me either...

Yes I do know someone...more than one, people that do not sin. It is actually easy, once you are really born again. The very nature of being born again is to no longer have the compulsion to sin. Anything short of that is diminishing the very real power of the holy spirit and is a mistake!

There has been only one man without sin... and they crucified HIM and HE rose from the dead... to save our eternal souls. JESUS is my Lord... I belong to HIM... but I am human and I must strive to keep HIS tenants... but I am neither perfect nor am I without sin. Neither are any of you... to claim yourself as such... is a sin.

You call God a liar by making a statement like that.

What John means is obviously ALL have sinned and are in need of being saved. Sin is in us, but once the born agian experience happens, that is it! You guys use translation of certain scripture to justify sinning and shame on you!
Can you imagine the apostles still sinning after they were filled with the spirit? Of course not!

No, you are calling yourself a liar..but do not know it, so I am not mad at you for it! Obviously all have sinned...but sinning is remedied upon salvation. All else is affirmative action salvation and is not real!

Go and sin no more is a new mindset that God wishes us to adopt. Yearn for the things above, yearn for a sinless life which will be pleasing to our Savior, but as others have said we will accomplish perfectly in our fallen nature.
To: fabian
You are deceived. You sin. Everyone you know sins.

So you know people who know longer sin. Interesting. And just how do you know this?
To: fabian
You are imposing onto God our own limitation.
We exist in time. God does not. That has real implications.
For us A follows B follow C follows D. God is above that.
To God Sin sin saved sin sin is exactly the same as
sin sin sin sin saved.
Jesus said “It is finished.”. And then 2000 years of sinning went on. Did Jesus lie? Not from his point of view.

Spot on.
Matthew 18:21: Lord, how many times must I forgive my brother when he sins against me?
The Lord's answer: 70 x 7.
That's 70 * 70 * 70 * 70 * 70. My calculator doesn't go that high, so forgiveness must be limitless since we're human, fallible and incapable of NOT sinning. (I know I'm sure not.)

And in the very next chapter it would appear that the Apostle John directly contradicts himself if we are to take your understanding of the verses you posted:
1 John 2:1-11
1. My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2. And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for our's only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
3. And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
6. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
7. Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.
8. Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.
9. He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.
10. He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
11. But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.
