There is no disagreement that Julius Caesar lived and was emperor of Rome during the first century BC.

You can find countless items of history like this, about which there is no dispute.

The historicity of Julius Caesar’s life has been established based on the criteria used by historians. This same criteria—the same standards—has established the fact of Christ’s crucifixion and the fact that his tomb was empty. There is no reasonable explanation for the empty tomb, except the conclusion that Christ was resurrected.

Other established facts—established using criteria as rigorous as any other facts of history—include that the disciple’s behavior changed radically during the days and weeks following this event because of something they experienced, and that they were willing to suffer and die in order to share their experience with others.

Please don’t overlook the good here—that the Resurrection is very good news if true.

I'm not.

Of course.

My point was that you seemed to be trying to 'tie' GORUSH down with the resurrection event.

So, if he accepts it, and says that is proof, does that mean if it didn't happen, that you would not believe in your religion anymore ?

You are quite right that the resurrection of Jesus Christ is THE turning point upon which ALL those who sincerely seek for truth must address. When I went through a time of doubt, it was this truth that out of all the others which convinced me that Jesus Christ was indeed who He claimed to be and that He was deserving of my faith and life. This link (Contemporary Scholarship and the Historical Evidence for the Resurrection of Jesus Christ ) is a good one for laying it out on the line about who Jesus was and is and that He is more than able to answer any questions or doubts we may have. God said in Hebrews 11:6, But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

God is not offended by our doubts, He welcomes them. "Come and let us REASON TOGETHER", He says. The worse thing we can do is to give up on the idea that truth can be known. It DOES exist and all God asks is that we diligently and sincerely seek Him. Ask and you SHALL receive. Knock and the door SHALL be opened. Seek and you SHALL find. God says that He will reward those who seek to know Him. I now have NO doubts at all because unlike the world who says "seeing is believing", I have learned that, with God, "believing is seeing". It takes a step of faith, sure, but that is what God wants us to do. But after we do take that step, He is there to blow our minds with the evidence and we WILL see!
