It would appear that you’re the one who has ‘lost it’. The thread goes in the direction you steered it for more than a hundred political attack posts, with zero about the ISM until Elsie redirects the focus momentarily, then exploiters of the religion forum jump right back on the political avenue (this is a religion forum where the ISM is the focus; this is not a political or activism forum where people of politics are fair game and the focus). Maybe you can get a caucus designation, where only hate romney posts are allowed, to fit the apparent agenda you have. That would keep folks like me off your threads, Colo. Make you happy ...

I think you should put the moonshine jug down, MHG. [GF]

In post #1, yes it was "steered" in a certain direction...And @ the beginning of post #2, I mentioned the socio-political aspect of Mitt and his culture...where I said:

In the first linked article above, Mormon Neal Chandler highlights how in the 19th century...
* Mormons forced communism upon its people -- and then not (United Order)
* Adhered to theocracies under its first two "prophets" -- and then slowly drew back
* Said polygamy was a condition of the highest degree of glory -- and then not

There it is. Black and white, M.H. Since when is a "theocracy" NOT tethered to the "ISM"...???
Since when is the Doctrine & Covenants "revelation" given to "prophet" Joseph Smith as an "everlasting" order NOT tethered to the "ISM"??? (Doesn't that reveal a false prophesy? ... Given that Mormons have withdrawn the "everlasting United Order?" Since when are false prophesies not part and parcel of the "ISM?" M.H.???)

Since when are "degrees of glory" assigned by Joseph Smith in D&C 76 NOT supposedly part and parcel of the ISM???

Did you not read post #2 fully? Why do you STILL claim -- twice now -- that there were ZERO posts about the "ISM"???

Why do you insult our combined intelligences as supposedly being less than primary grades?

Furthermore, M.H., I said in post #2...and I'll carefully highlight the "ISM" portion so you can more readily spot it this go-round: The answer, says this ex-Mormon in the book referenced above is: (From the article): The book reveals a value system that ultimately has no absolutes, other than the need to conform to deep-seated, highly-controlling authoritarianism that pervades LDS culture. That culture emphasizes a Mormon tradition known as "eternal progression" — undoctrinal spiritual evolution in which even God is changing. It also emphasizes the notion that the latest words of governing church leaders trump the Word of God found in the scriptures (including LDS scripture).

Is the "ISM" there as plain as day, M.H.???? No? Will you retract your false accusations toward Elz now?

Oh, was that still not enough for you, M.H.??? I also said, in post #2...which I will also highlight for your reading prowess: IOW, EVERYTHING in MormonISM -- from its theology to its social practices -- is up for potential change at the whim of the Mormon god. Bottom-line: There is no bottom-line in MormonISM! There is no bedrock doctrine that cannot be replaced! There isn't even an Ultimate god in MormonISM...Nobody knows who the gods are that were part of the council which appointed the god of this world -- a former man, say Mormons.

There ya go, M.H. Do you see why now I asked if you had "totally lost it???"

* I THRICE used the word "MormonISM" in post #2...
* I mentioned its "theology."
* I used the word "doctrine."
* I mentioned a whim-oriented Mormon "god"
* I pointed out this was some lower-level god -- not an "Ultimate" God
* I mentioned a "council of gods"

And that was after I referenced a "changing" Mormon god...Lds "scriptures"...and "eternal progression"...ALL part of the ISM!!!!

And yet you were so high and mighty in your prickliness that you couldn't bothered to be corrected.
