Three quarter of the people voting in 1960 are dead. In any case a majority of Catholic voted for Ike even in the heyday of Catholic involvement .

Catholics voted against Eisenhower, but there is data that shows they voted for his reelection in 1956, assuming that is true, and I used to hold to the view that it is, that is 6 times in our history that Catholics have voted republican.

Females have been much more republican than that and even since that election and the shift to the left for the overall female vote, they have voted for the republican as many times since then, as the Catholic voter has.
