I was involved some time ago in pressuring for a delay in the loan of the cylinder to Iran from the English Museum. Reason: to prevent it’s destruction.

The Iranian Mullahs have a history of destroying artifacts that dispute their “faith”. They in fact used the cylinder for propaganda purposes to promote Islam. (Surprise?)

They never mention Cyrus freeing the Jews. The cylinder reflects what is written in the Bible related to Cyrus and freeing the Jews from Babalyonian Captivity. And the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple as foretold in the Bible. Mentioning Cyrus specifically by name.
