I’m worried about your Guinea.

The chicken probably thought it was a member of some kind of weird punk rock religious cult, what with that ‘makeup and hairdo’ and all.

Maybe you could try two chickens, instead.

One for the Guinea and the other to settle the other chicken’s nerves.

At least the Guinea would have a flock of some kind to hang out with, even if they aren’t that crazy about him.

There’s a poultry swap within an hour’s drive this Saturday. I think I’ll hop in the car and go see if anyone has a guinea for sale. We kept going up to check on Larry the guinea today. He would chirp to us and seemed to perk up, so he’s got a little company.

There’s a hatchery that has keets available as of the 4th of June. I can always order some, but they would have to be in a brooder for a minimum of 6 weeks.

How old is Alice? Is he considered “young”, “adult”, “middle-aged” or “elderly” for his species?

Does he have any known health problems?

Could he be shedding his skin?

Could he be smelling a nearby female of the species (do you know of anyone who keeps a female ball python near you?)?

Still praying!
