I agree!

I am so grateful for the outstanding Christian cooperation shown at places like the "Manhattan Declaration" between leading and very sincere Protestants, and Catholics, (in spite of some differences) to stand side by side to fight against these rotten trends in our society.

On the other hand, I also think it is important that we try to clear up areas where some people clearly misunderstand the teachings of the Catholic Church completely.

Oh, I agree. I guess my first sentence of approval was a bit too short.

I’m a Catholic myself. Born and bred an Episcopalian, but converted while at Harvard (not their intention, needless to say).

In my later years in academia, I worked closely with Evangelicals, and we agreed to disagree about certain theological matters, while working together on what we could agree on. We took turns saying grace before meetings, and I never heard anything I couldn’t say “Amen” to.

And vice versa Catholics misunderstanding of the Protestants and also Orthodox and the Messianic Jewish movements.... all of us each with one another!

Yes lots of misunderstandings to be cleared up....when Christ shall “enter into his temple with purging fire and hyssop soap”!
