Were Congress to outlaw the transporting of a minor without her parents permission across state lines to get an abortion, an abortion- and gay-rights activist testifying on Capitol Hill Thursday she would break the law to continue to help girls end their pregnancies.
Appearing as a Democratic Party witness at a hearing of the House Judiciary subcommittee on the Constitution, Dr. Katherine Hancock Ragsdale, president and dean of the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, Mass. recalled the time she took a 15-year-old girl she had never met before to get an abortion.
Although New Hampshire was closer to that girls home than Boston, as it happened, I did not take her across state lines, Ragsdale said. Nor did I, to my knowledge, break any laws.
But if either of those things had been necessary in order to help her, I would have done them, she continued. And if helping young women like her should be made illegal I will, nonetheless, continue to do it.
Ragsdale cited her vows as an Episcopal priest as the reason why she would have no choice but to break the law.
Ragsdale is well known for her activism for homosexual and abortion rights.
At a Jan. 24, 2010 event organized by the Jane Fund, a Massachusetts-based group that raises funds for abortions, Ragsdale delivered a speech in which she said she was angry and fed up at people who had spoken out again her sexuality Ragsdale is a lesbian and her radical stance on abortion.

Punishable by life in prison...if nobody gets killed.
WTF?
“Why does Congress need ANYONE to testify to breaking laws unless it is to force them to negate the laws?”
You said it better than I could. Negate parental responsibility, which is essential to any functioning society, while trivializing the Rule of Law by allowing “the right kind of people”, like a busybody lesbian priest (coll) to take the pregnant daughter of some nobody to an abortion mill. Deconstructionism.
Pseudo-Priest Tells Congress It would have been OK for her Mother to Cross State Line to get an Abortion in 1959
How sad we have become!
LOL, that is one sick pig right there!
I am not into judging others .....much.However if she was really at peace with God and her chosen profession and felt that her sexuality elevated it,she’d be less of a clam and more of a composed and peaceful individual.
Instead she comes off as detrimental towards both her chosen profession and her chosen sexuality although I am going to guess that not many women would choose to get know her that well.
The Episcopalians seem to be attached directly to Satan's teat these days. Ever since they elevated that homosexual Robinson to bishop, the slope has steepened.
1929 at the Lambeth conference the Episcopal church votred to allow the use of contraceptives and it has all been down hill since them. Henry VII must be so proud.
Words have meaning and all that.
Now ask me one more time why I left the Episcopal Church far behind? Talk about n uncomfortable pew.
Henry is proud... His wives aren’t all that surprised.
Henry VIII.
My carnal mind says, “I’d like to slap her into the next county”. The Spirit of God says to pray for her. She is lost and headed for eternal damnation.
The woman (forget her name) that was the center of Roe v Wade, turned and renounced her position on abortion. God can change this woman’s heart; we should pray for that to happen. What a witness she could be.
At least Ms Piggy does not hate men and babies!!!!!
