I see you are NOT saying that you are NOT an ANTI christian; just that you don't do it very often.

Ma'am; you've GOT to be more aggressive about THEOLOGY!

Santorum Questions Obama’s Christian Values

Mormomism and its Uncle Christianity are equally silly to me and have nothing to do with whom I vote.

Polygamy: Joseph Smith, founder of Mormonism, was the first Mormon prophet to practice polygamy.

2. Snake handling Christians. That’s what happens when you can’t get decent TV reception in Appalachia.
6. Mormons believe in Kolob, which is close to God, which explains the outrageous rental rates there.

Seven Minutes Of Rick Santorum Talking About How Great Mitt Romney Is

Uh, no. Why? Even FR was pro-Romney in 2008.

Is this a fair question for Romney? What are your vows, promises and duties as Mormon bishop?

I do believe in the word of God to Noah, and I think the word of God to Moses was pretty good as well. Anything beyond that is pretty much just noise. That’s the mythology I have accepted and am finally peaceful with after years of tumult.

I was referring more to the Christian mythology, not the easily disproved facts.

...as a non-Christian, all the Jesus believers are the same to me: Jewish apostates.

...not interested in the false Christian prophets like Smith and the others...

Yes, Mormons tithe, but most others don’t

Your fickle god is not the God of the Jews. They’ll be just fine.

 Jesus wasn’t a Christian either.

Would a Vote for a Member of a Cult to be President help Legitimise their Cult?

The Religion Forum is fascinating: chockful of liars, bigots, saints, the lost, the angry, the searchers, the self-righteous.  HMMMmmm...

Felt the same way until a friend of the family got very upset about Romney possible winning. She had been a Mormon. Since then I found Tricia Erickson’s CAN MITT ROMNEY SERVE TWO MASTERS?

I have serious doubts if Romney was somehow elected. Romney believes the elected head of his church is a prophet of God. If this so-called (false) prophet of God calls up Romney and tells him to do something, he'll do it. Who is he going to listen to? Typical Americans or somebody that he thinks is a prophet of God?

To equate mormonism with Jim Jones is about the most ignorant comment I may have ever read. You obviously are parroting all the other lines from the Anti-mormon mob on FR. Think for yourself. Jim Jones was an advide leftist and evangelical preacher- “christian” philosphy in line with the main stream. He built nothing. Mormonism has been around for over 160 years and has produced world renowned scientist, politicians, musicians, along with settling some of the most unfriendly parts of western US- so you and your friends can enjoy great skiing. Oh Snap!

I have always believed that Mormonism was a cult. I've had that belief since the early 1970's when I visited my mother's brother and his wife. They had converted to Mormonism because their small town's Episcopalian church was, for some reason, unacceptable. The other church was Catholic--not an option. So they became Mormons.
So, I've heard about Mormonism until my aunt finally passed away five years ago. The uncle never did follow it.
My aunt had prayed me into Mormon heaven way back then...and I hadn't known that there WAS a different heaven for Mormons. It was then that I got the idea that Mormonism was a wacky cult, accent on the wacky.

The Jim Jones cult was also wacky but the Mormons, though wacky are NOT sickos, the JJ cult was. The Mormons are extremely successful, hard-working and all that VERY GOOD stuff. But any "faith" that believes that their elders will become rulers, that is, gods (small "g") on distant planets when they die is WACKY! That violates the first commandment and you know it. The Mormons, however much they propound it, are NOT Christians.

If I offended you, I apologize. However, if you are a long-standing member here in FR, your skin HAS to be thick, or you would have ulcers!

The Mormons have been around 160 years...the Catholic Church has been around 2000 years, tied in COMPLETELY, as Jesus WAS/IS the long-awaited Messiah, with Judasim which has been around another 1000+ years.

The Mormons, if the media is to be believed, is bleeding constituents. It had to happens when the Internet arrived. Now the Mormons aren't so insulated and their young can see "other truths."
IMHO, Jesus and HIS faith, will win. It can't lose since HIS faith had/has/will ALWAYS have the Holy Spirit guiding it.

P.S. I don't ski and avoid snow whenever possible. The Mormons settled in NOWHERE to avoid being run out of every town on a rail. They built their wacko cult where "no man has gone before." It won't last in the full light of today.
