Metropolitan Kallistos Ware has an excellent critique of Protestant and Roman Catholic >>teaching on salvation.<<

I feel sorry for the guy and anyone who trusts his teaching. He’s not sure if his prayer for salvation will be answered and doesn’t trust God to carry him through.

James 1:6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. Then he makes a really weird comment that indicates one is saved by belonging to some organization.

We are not saved “as members of the body of Christ”. We are added to the body of Christ through salvation.

Acts 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

They were added to the church after being saved. The church consists of those who have been saved through the completed work of Christ.

He then repeats the nonsense of all Catholic in direct contradiction to what scripture teaches.

Hebrews 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: 12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; 13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. 14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

If the man doesn’t trust Christ and what He did he should just say so.
