The name is the Body of Christ with Christ as HEAD of the ENTIRE invisible Church of true believers which God the Father and the resurrected Christ Jesus appointed and founded and commissioned the Apostle Paul to preach to the Gentiles. Read all those scripture verses to prove what God and His Christ view point is on this matter.

If what you say is true then it would not have the blood of innocents on its hands because it would conform to Christ's teachings and obey his word. The fact is the Church is the body of believers. Not a world wide organization run by corrupt leaders.

The Catholic church gave up the gospel of Christ when it got into banking 500 years ago.

Have never seen anything in Scripture that would confirm what you say. The only thing Scripture mentions is “the church.” Period. And every believer who has repented for their sins and believes in the finished work of Christ is a member of His Body, the church.

You may be shocked to discover that there won't be any denominations in Heaven. Just Christians.

It is my understanding that the Roman Catholic Church claims that it is the one True Church. So does the Orthodox, citing a series of errors they assert have been committed by the Roman Catholic Church.

So does the Presbyterian Church, citing doctrinal errors. So does the Church of Latter Day Saints citing additional revelation. So does the Reformed Church of Latter Day Saints. So do the Sunni Muslims citing additional revelation from Mohammed. So do the Shiite Muslims citing errors in selection of the Caliph.

And any one of us could go on and on. G-d seems to be too busy to post to FR, so this remains unresolved.

Now wait a minute! I read years ago that the first PROTESTANT CHURCH was the CATHOLICS when they left the TRUE CHURCH, the ORTHODOX.

But the Catholics also make the same claim that the orthodox left the “True Church”.

Wish they would get it straight!

The church is not a human corporation ruled over by sinful men in skirts. That is what Jesus Christ called the Nico Laitanos, and he roundly condemned them as the group he hates.

His church is an invisible, mystic body that meets whever two or more are gathered in his name; he told us so.
