We are to go before the Father in Jesus name.
Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
The New Testament teaching is clearly that we are to go to the Father in Jesus name and Jesus intercedes for us.
So you are back to disagreeing with St. Paul now.
