>>You've been reading way too much Tim LaHaye. That's fiction, not reality.<<

I can envision the people watching Noah build the Ark saying the same thing. You’re not in good company.

Envision anything you like, but don't expect the rest of us to pretend that it's the truth. Especially those of us who follow the Scriptures, instead of the man-made tradition of LaHaye and Darby.

"I can envision the people watching Noah build the Ark saying the same thing. "

ROTFLMAO. So say those who adopt the heresy of Core and prefer the Pharisee canon to the Christian canon, and the words of Tim LeHaye or Hal Lindsey to those of Christ Himself.

Particularly when their preferred fantasy includes the expectation of a Messiah who disregards what Christ said and spares them from the battle in this life in spite of Christ clearly promising no such thing to those who follow Him. Those who believe Christ know He promised us no shortage of problems and conflict in this life as was illustrated by the lives of the Apostles and early Christians. Christians therefore do not expect to be extrated from the battlefield exactly when it becomes most critical to fight His foes or even die as a testament to our faith in Him. Far from being even vaguely similar to Noah building an ark, such Escape & Evasion advocates are just narcissists who who refuse to believe what Christ Himself clearly said. Doing what Christ says is expected of those who follow Him is is too costly for the fansty prone Self Worshipers, they much perfer their fantasy of being extracted from the battle because they're special little snowflakes, the most important and special snowflakes in the history of the world. Such very special and delicate little snowflakes that they can't be expected to bear their own cross as Christ did.

The dispensationalist Rapture boogie was tailor made to sell to gullible and self centered Self Worshipers who enjoy claiming that the giants of the Old Testament along with all the Apostles and Christians since Christ walked the earth are all worthless by comparison to the special few snowflakes like themselves. Escape & Evasion dogma is perfect for those so narcissistic that they see no problem with claiming to believe that Scripture is paramount but first throw out portions of His Word that Christ and the Apostles never said were in error and frequently quoted from. Even what they retained is almost always prefaced with, "that's what Scripture says, but that's not what it means" because what they want Scripture to say is cleary contradicted by what Scripture does say. Rather than mere rounds of Dungeons & Dragons, such lovers of fantasy games toss their multifaceted die of personal interpretation each morning as they browse the news then chatter among themselves as they and revise Scripture to suit themselves on a daily basis.

The Rapture of The Snowflakes Fantasy folks are not wise virgins keeping watch, they're fantasy prone Self Worshipers who never grew out of thinking like a child and playing childish games to feed their own ego. Their main goal isn't watching and waiting, it's denying that they need to surrender to Christ and can instead rely on thier own intellect.
