Do you think many new converts really know this stuff? How long did it take you to figure it out? ... Some of them are really mad about being LIED to.
I just had a theory and it goes to Control of the peons.

Depends on how you define ‘new’. Under a year? No they usually have no idea. After a year, esp in the US? Probably. After about 5 years (like Beck)? Definitely.
I started learing things like Jesus was married at about the one year mark, but I was also lied to by the missionaries (like about polygamy and becoming Gods) under the guise of ‘milk before meat’ and yeah I was mad too later, when I was leaving. When I found out though I make the excuse of ‘milk before meat’ rather than realizing at the time I was lied to. That came later after a christian bookstore owner in Provo got me mad enough to prove him wrong about some early teachings.
And your control of peons theory is spot on. Mormonism is all about ‘busy work’ and keeping the members from thinking/researching for themselves.
That is exactly what these threads are all about, praying that some will get as mad as you and try to prove us wrong, they can't, and are not MAD enough to take the challenge, but that day will come.
As smart as Beck is, he tells us to do our research on subjects he talks about. Don't take my word for it he says, do your research. Dr. heal thyself, Beck do your research on the LDS. Didn't he marry a mormon and then converted to the cult? If so, he is not as smart as he thinks he is.
Beck is into hoarding/survival, buy food, gold, etc., this too is what I have read the mormons tell their members to do. One exmo stated they had to throw out rotten/spoiled canned goods when one of their mormon relatives died.
