Any time of year that we like to honor Mary, they get hysterical. Satan hates The Virgin.
Christmas and Easter are particularly trying on our separated friends. Look at the hysterics when the Pope addresses the Faithful at Christmas.
In juxtaposition to that, look at all the Evangelicals who don't bother to even have a Christmas service. Rick Warren's fiefdom, for example this year.
All Christians 'honor' Mary, we understand clearly her roll as the earthly mother of the Christ Child and which we celebrate His coming for the 'salvation' of all who would come to Him..."Joy to the world the LORD has come".....
What many catholics do is the extremes form of worshiping her, praying to her, bowing down and parading her various idols before men, believing and teaching that she is the mediator between God and man... which oppose the clear teachings of scripture not to do so...and that Christ Himself is the 'only' mediator between God and man..and thru His blood alone salvation came to mankind...not Mary's..not ever.
But Jesus ... It is still proclaimed in our ears that to us is born a Saviour, Christ the Lord... not One who shall be a Saviour, but... "born a Saviour."
