Oh, like the paramecium thing? Yes that was a joke.

>>>>> than just hints. And other times on other threads in the form of exorcism prayers being directed towards them.

If I’m not mistaken, the hysterical complaints harassed the RM into forbidding exorcism prayers. Talk about thin skin. Not that exorcism prayers aren’t said privately. And candles lit. ;-D No way for you to control that, is there?

Behind the scenes exorcism prayers being done....candles lit...probable seances with the saint of the day for advice...This is just a lovely group of people we are dealing with here. No, Catholicism isn’t pagan at ALL. there are no “magic rituals” being performed...Judith Anne, which spirit do you communicate with? I had no idea that Vlad the Impaler had been made a saint.

"If I’m not mistaken, the hysterical complaints harassed the RM into forbidding exorcism prayers."

I'm glad this was brought up again because I think we should explore it. In a simple form, exorcism is performed at the celebration of Baptism. The Church encourages the laity to say simple exorcisms frequently. Historically, many conditions were attributed to demons and evil spirits. These included foul and unpleasant dispositions and unChristian behavior, certain illnesses and seizure disorders, insanity, and actual demonic possession. There are many Scriptural references to Christians being empowered to cast out demons and evil spirits in God's name and this was considered a work of mercy. Further, we are called upon often in Scripture to pray for one another.

So let's ask ourselves who, or should we say what would object to prayers and acts of mercy and lodge hysterical complaints? Who, or what, would be harmed or offended with efforts to cast out demons, I mean besides demons and those sympathetic to them?

Lastly, who would concede the power of the Catholic Church's prayers to be anything more than man made mumbo-jumbo?

Seems to me that the RM did not indicate that he was being harassed into forbidding exorcism prayers.

And Scriptural precedent for lighting candles as part of exorcism rituals is found where in the Bible?

You mean like the hysterical complaints by Catholics against certain websites that result in them being put on the banned on the RF for hate list?

Talk about thin skin.
