I would not have you ignorant. Israel is the nation of Israel. The Gentiles are the church.
Romans 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. Then God will “turn away ungodliness from Jacob”. He will turn their heart to Him.
26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
God mad a covenant with them and He will not break that covenant.
27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
Israel is now enemies for the sake of the Gentiles so the Gentiles (the church) can obtain salvation. But Israel is still the elect of God
28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the father's sakes.
God said the gifts and calling of Israel are without repentance.
29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
The Gentiles (the church) obtained mercy through Israel’s unbelief.
30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief :

tell me then, were the Jews Jesus was speaking to in John 8:24 “Israel” and therefore according to Romans 11, will they be saved?
