A notoriously 'gay-friendly' parish in San Francisco has invited an openly homosexual Episcopalian cleric to lead an Advent Vespers service.
Most Holy Redeemer parish asked Bishop Otis Charles, a retired Episcopalian prelate, to lead the November 30 service. After serving as the Bishop of Utah from 1971 to 1993, he publicly announced that he is homosexual. Divorced from the mother of his 5 children, he solemnized a same-sex union in 2004.
Do you consider me an heretic also, as you tried to characterize others? Do you get a warm feeling in your chest when you do soemthign like that?
I’m not a Roman Catholic, but with years of studying the Bible, I too believe Mary IS the arch of The New Covenant, for she carried The New Covenant Being in her body for nine months of sustaining and protection. I find parallels to the ephod of Manna, the almond branch that budded and the tablets of stone in Jesus, so how else to characterize the Lady Who carried those affirmations of Covenant?
I wouldn't laugh to hard because unlike you guys, I don't pretend to be an intellectual...
And unlike you guys, I've learned that true wisdom comes only from God thru the scriptures...So that pretty much makes any wisdom unavailable to you guys...
But go ahead you fine examples of humility, go ahead and pat yourselves on the back for attaining some of the secular knowledge you strive for...
No, I rarely if ever consider you at all anymore. You used to be interesting
My response:
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!..Isaiah 5:20
.....preferring the darkness of their 'rites' and 'ceremonies', and human traditions',.. before the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ;.... which showed they loved darkness rather than light, John 3:19... and chose that which would be bitter to them in the end, than the sweet doctrines of the grace of God;.... the bitter root of error, rather than the words of Christ's mouth, which are sweeter than the honey, or the honeycomb.
Woe unto therm that are wise in their own eyes,.... And yet betray such stupidity and sottishness, as to call things by their wrong names;... and make such a perverse judgment of them, as before described.... This is a true description of the Scribes and Pharisees in Christ's time; who said,... "dost thou teach us? are we blind also?" John 9:34.
...and prudent in their own sight; being wise 'above what was written'; leaving the word of God, and following the 'traditions of the elders' http://gill.biblecommenter.com/isaiah/5.htm.
What phony Catholic?
Who's hysterical?
You mean someone here is pretending to be Catholic just to make Catholics look bad?
You'd better flush them out.
Okay. God bless you. Goodbye.
It sure seems that a lot of Catholics have that problem with someone hijacking their account and posting stuff that they deny knowledge of.
Kind of leaves one plenty to speculate on about the how's and why's of it.
Okay. God bless you. Goodbye.
Why do you keep posting to me? Do you want me to post toyou? Do you need attenton?
If I give you the number of the post boatbums was whining about, then you’ll know WHO she was whining about. Just consider that it was me, amd forget it. Blame me.
God bless you, goodbye.
All Christians 'honor' Mary, we understand clearly her roll as the earthly mother of the Christ Child and which we celebrate His coming for the 'salvation' of all who would come to Him..."Joy to the world the LORD has come".....
What many catholics do is the extremes form of worshiping her, praying to her, bowing down and parading her various idols before men, believing and teaching that she is the mediator between God and man... which oppose the clear teachings of scripture not to do so...and that Christ Himself is the 'only' mediator between God and man..and thru His blood alone salvation came to mankind...not Mary's..not ever.
But Jesus ... It is still proclaimed in our ears that to us is born a Saviour, Christ the Lord... not One who shall be a Saviour, but... "born a Saviour."
Matthew 12:48
He replied to him,
"Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?"....... For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.".......And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said,.... Here are my mother and my brothers!
Matthew 12:48 12:50, Mark 3:34
Yea....guess it comes in different packages but perhaps the best they can offer when all's considered..... Both sides of the mouth in motion almost at once....has to be confusing to the heart and mind of the source.... The fact both run the threads might yet give hope... once they stop tripping over their own words.... One or the other will be yielded to...we see the battle for the soul playing out.
Okay. God bless you. Goodbye.
I get it...door is closed. Perhaps another day.
It’s an attack on your effectiveness. Flattering.
What is hilarious is to compare you to Kosta50. While he too was knowledgeable, he’s a confirmed agnostic.
Carry on...
Why don’t they go and pick on the Lutherans? They are practically Catholic.
AFAIK Lutherans ignore them. Their religion demands attention, it’s me me me me all the time. They cannot handle being ignored.
