A notoriously 'gay-friendly' parish in San Francisco has invited an openly homosexual Episcopalian cleric to lead an Advent Vespers service.
Most Holy Redeemer parish asked Bishop Otis Charles, a retired Episcopalian prelate, to lead the November 30 service. After serving as the Bishop of Utah from 1971 to 1993, he publicly announced that he is homosexual. Divorced from the mother of his 5 children, he solemnized a same-sex union in 2004.
They can call us pagans, but they can’t take being called Satanic.
Go figure. What’s good for he goose...

“knock off the attitude...”
Yes, it does come across as “bossy”.
It’s not the first time.
Which of the following words are difficult for you?
—personal—relating specifically to a specific individual.
—NOT PERSONAL—a group of undefined specific membership.
The FR forum has no capacity to prevent folks from
TAKING THINGS PERSONALLY
ANY MORE THAN Mods have the capacity to reach through the computer screens and jerk 2 year olds’ thumbs out of their mouths and rescue their keyboards from their tearful whining.
HINT—the words above are NOT from the Vatican DAFFYNITIONARY but are instead from the dictionary that the rest of the world uses.
INDEED.
Thank you, Jvette.
Simplicity and clarity.
A good way to communicate.
Pope Benedict observed that about the Muslim fundamentalists when he said faith without reason is the doorway to fanaticism. Protestant fundamentalists have a lot in common with their anti-intellectual Muslim counterparts in the Taliban.
I’m making that statement having read about Islam extensively. Different book, same mentality.
What about “bossiness, rudeness and ignorance”?

And it was not the first time, either.
Ask away.
If folks have a reason to respond to the content, they will.
Mods are not police persons for sensibilities about such.
There’s no “ignore” button.
What is truth Jvette?
Party on!
Nothing any protestant here can do to me or say to me that is worse than what our martyrs suffered for the faith.
Sticks and stones and ugly words may hurt me but the Truth never will and I trust Jesus and I trust His church.
The protestants here? Pikers compared to those who came before them.
I didn't say you had posted it, only that it was kinda funny that you complained to the Mod right after one of your peeps said exactly that. You don't need to apologize for what someone else said. Ironically, though, it looks like here you then turn it around and rationalize it because "you guys do to us all the time". Yes, I agree it is a shame. Hopefully, you guys will stop doing it.
Jesus, born of a virgin, God Incarnate.
Jesus and Him crucified for my sins.
Jesus and Him resurrected.
Jesus and Him ascended to Heaven to prepare a place for me.
Jesus and His Church, led by the Holy Spirit.
Jesus and His mother, my mother, the mother of the Church.
Jesus in the Eucharist.
Jesus in my soul and in my body and in my heart and in my mind.
That is my Truth.
Yep.
There’s nothing more I can post right now that won’t get me a)kicked off the thread and b)poaaibly banned.
*So*
PS, FReepmail coming your way
Jv, I am your companion on this journey.
We are on our way to Emmaus, hearing Him explain Scriptures to us and letting us know Him in the breaking of the bread.
“Remain with us, Lord, for the day is far spent”
Yes, we are on our way to Glory.
