A notoriously 'gay-friendly' parish in San Francisco has invited an openly homosexual Episcopalian cleric to lead an Advent Vespers service.
Most Holy Redeemer parish asked Bishop Otis Charles, a retired Episcopalian prelate, to lead the November 30 service. After serving as the Bishop of Utah from 1971 to 1993, he publicly announced that he is homosexual. Divorced from the mother of his 5 children, he solemnized a same-sex union in 2004.

Out of His Church came the Scriptures, under the guidance and inspiration of the Holy Spirit who was to lead them to all truth. Where is that found in Scripture?
Oh? It isn't?
The Catholic church claims that for itself.
Like I'm going to believe unsubstantiated claims of some organization that wants to claim authority over everyone on the planet in regards to spiritual matters.
riiiiight......

INDEED.
SAD, THOUGH.
Folks tend to pigeon hole others hereon rather harshly because of various beliefs and posting styles.
Some of us tend to collect more personal attacks than reasonable rational meaty replies.
I’m used to folks having little to say in response to my assertions. People have responded to me with speechlessness more or less all my life in a variety of situations. LOL.
With the RC’s it seems to be !!!!TRADITION!!!! to respond with a personal assault vs even more idiotic blather.
With the REPLACEMENTARIANS . . . sometimes I wonder who’s worse at such games—them or the RC’s. Sigh.
I don’t really have any apology for writing fiercely about the outrageous blasphemous assaults on The Bible and God’s priorities. SOMEBODY needs to stand up and let loose about how the cow ate the cabbage on such important and outrageous examples of doctrines of demons and from hell.
You do such an excellent job. And, you get to be so mild mannered in the process! Congrats!
I’ve been wondering if some of the shrillness is because of
1. Conviction of Holy Spirit is being turned up somehow.
2. Folks are realizing that their cosmologies, constructions on reality and other theological notions just don’t hold as much water as they have long thought.
and/or
3. The END TIMES STUFF in daily life is parallelling THE BIBLE SOOOOO CLOSELY—and increasingly so—it’s starting to rattle folks.
In any case, they haven’t seen anything yet.
I have just posted a new thread on Jim Tetlow’s
101 Last Days Prophecies

Thanks tons for all you do for the Kingdom, Dear Sister in Christ.
May He make your body every bit whole . . . may ever moment of struggle and suffering bring rich dividends to you here and to your Heavenly account.
Amen.

Yes, satan certainly hates The Word.
And the rebellion, pride etc. in human hearts joins in with satan’s hatred.

Hierarchy tends to be . . . a natural inclination in a lot of respects.
It is AT LEAST like beauty in the eye of the beholder.
It takes Holy Spirit and earnest effort to see ourselves as less than or equal to others in healthy ways.
Similarly, it takes Holy Spirit and earnest effort to see reality as Biblical and other than we have been taught, when that is the case.

The Catholics have been so indoctrinated about what the church is that its near impossible without professional deprogramming from cult attitudes to communicate
>>Look in the mirror. You are the paragon of dialog. You started the discussion by poisoning the well with your incessant ad hominem attacks against the Catholic Church for being a cult and the like. I could just as easily say the same thing about you because reason seems to be an afterthought, considering your degree of spiritual pride. If you want a fair discussion fine, but otherwise I'll say there isn't much of a difference between the church you belong to and the synagogue of Satan that Jesus warned his followers about.
All you are seem to be about is
You are almost as bad as Quix.

The RCC is simply replacing Levitical laws with RCC laws.

Now now.
You might avoid using their DAFFYNITIONARY meaning of
“little!”
LOL.

Out of His Church came the Scriptures, under the guidance and inspiration of the Holy Spirit who was to lead them to all truth.Correct.. The NT church of Jesus Christ wrote and assembled the NT scriptures ..but that church bore NO resemblance to Catholicism.. The writings of paul were accepted as scripture at the time of their writing.. The Holy Spirit saw that the inspired books were recognized from the beginning
As early as 200 AD there was a canon of scripture ..That predates the roman church and the heresies that flowed out of the joining of the church with Rome

Thanks for your personal assault.
I appreciate the addition it renders to my Heavenly account.
. . . as Scripture says . . . count it all joy.

He refers to the kosher laws, so don’t take scripture out of context.
You can eat all the ham you like is what St. Paul is saying.
He’s not referring to baptism, which Jesus HIMSELF commanded.
