Gay Episcopal Bishop to Preach at San Francisco Catholic Parish
Catholic Culture ^ | 11/22/11

A notoriously 'gay-friendly' parish in San Francisco has invited an openly homosexual Episcopalian cleric to lead an Advent Vespers service.

Most Holy Redeemer parish asked Bishop Otis Charles, a retired Episcopalian prelate, to lead the November 30 service. After serving as the Bishop of Utah from 1971 to 1993, he publicly announced that he is homosexual. Divorced from the mother of his 5 children, he solemnized a same-sex union in 2004.

Or, you could skip the propaganda and read the scriptures, the book that condemns your church history...

I haven’t studied your church history but I have read the works of many who have...They conclude your history is full of persecution of real Christians...I have read enough of your church history to know that scripture is distorted and perverted to try to justify your religion...

I mean, all grace and salvation comes thru Mary...There is nothing in your religious history that could possibly convince me that there is a hint of truth to that statement...

You call your leader Holy Father, a sinner just like you and me...No thanks...I’ll stick with the Real Holy Father...

>>>Nothing like personal opinions.

, it looks like everything you say is called a “One Trick Pony” EVEN when you are discussing many, different topics

Talk about irony. I've only seen three graphics used -- that really makes them a one trick pony.

:D

But, hey--if that's all they've got, let 'em enjoy it.

No cream cheese bagel for them... ;)

Exodus 20:4-6 4 "You shall NOT make for yourself
a carved image,

of anything
that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, 6but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.

You aren’t a Christian.

Well if you are, I guess I'm not...I'll have to resort to calling myself a born again, Christ bought and paid for child of God...

Obviously we have a different view of what a Christian is...

Unless you don’t follow man-made teachings/traditions and to you God’s Word is the FINAL Authority - don’t post Scripture to me.

>>No you believe that YOU are the FINAL authority. Don’t quote scripture to me either because you don’t have a clue what they mean.

Even the devil can quote scripture. Matthew 4:5-6

Galatians 1:8

Titus 3:9-11

What?

CHRIST & CHRISTIANITY = THE ONLY TRUTH!

Besides, how could I miss all the brazen rebellion against Scripture and the outrageous hypocrisies, double standards etc. . . in the Vatican A-M-G cult?

Matthew 7

Judging Others

1 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

6 “Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.

Ask, Seek, Knock

7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
9 “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

The Narrow and Wide Gates

13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
True and False Prophets

15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
True and False Disciples

21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
The Wise and Foolish Builders

24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
28 When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, 29 because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law.

That’s just your opinion. If you get a feeling that you are saved, boom, poof, you are saved.

You obviously then haven't had the 'feeling'...But it's far more than a feeling...

Rom 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

You haven't had that confirmation from the Holy Spirit...Yet you mock those of us who have...

Do you think the bible is lying??? Or is that verse far to complicated for a Catholic to understand??? Do you need it interpreted???

A person who has not had that 'feeling' can not understand the scriptures, because the scriptures are spiritually discerned...

And that's a tough one for an unbeliever...One can easily read the simple words of scripture, but they are a tangled mess, aren't they??? You need someone to sort it out for you...

Like the Ethopian Eunuch...Prior to his salvation, he needed a man to explain the scriptures...Lucky for him he got a man of God to explain it...

But remember, God will not be mocked...

Ahhhhhhhhhh

A perceptual problem?

A) The LIVING WORD CHRIST JESUS IN THE FLESH LIFTED UP ON CALVARY 2000 YEARS AGO

VS

B) A brass or gold object with a pathetic unrisen sculpture on it!

OK, ladies and gentlemen; boys and girls; dogs and cats:

Does A) or B) above most fit the clear meaning of this scripture?:

Exodus 20:4-6 4 "You shall NOT make for yourself
a carved image,
or any likeness
of anything
that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, 6but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.

No, boys and girls, I don't think drilling a hole and pouring it in, would help.

There’s no need to judge.

The fruit is plainly evident.

Y’all’s actions and assertions are abundantly evident for all to see. We’d have to be blind to miss them!

The CC man made teachings are certainly sugar coated to cover up the deception for the deceived. Sorry - no one is interested in your choice of pablum propaganda. Seems you can’t even give away the RCC’s PERSONAL man made Traditions/catechism poison- as hard as you try. Even your pony doesn’t want them.
