A notoriously 'gay-friendly' parish in San Francisco has invited an openly homosexual Episcopalian cleric to lead an Advent Vespers service.
Most Holy Redeemer parish asked Bishop Otis Charles, a retired Episcopalian prelate, to lead the November 30 service. After serving as the Bishop of Utah from 1971 to 1993, he publicly announced that he is homosexual. Divorced from the mother of his 5 children, he solemnized a same-sex union in 2004.

Research the history of Dispensationalism and the various offshoots, you might find one that appeals to your particular personality more. Better yet, spend some time researching the history of the Church beyond the 19th Century. Or, you could skip the propaganda and read the scriptures, the book that condemns your church history...
I haven't studied your church history but I have read the works of many who have...They conclude your history is full of persecution of real Christians...I have read enough of your church history to know that scripture is distorted and perverted to try to justify your religion...
I mean, all grace and salvation comes thru Mary...There is nothing in your religious history that could possibly convince me that there is a hint of truth to that statement...
You call your leader Holy Father, a sinner just like you and me...No thanks...I'll stick with the Real Holy Father...

Obviously you haven't been following these threads very long, noob. You might want to check my profile page before labeling me as a "noob."
This entire non-Catholic v. Catholic thing is nothing new to FR. It's been discussed and rediscussed over and over again. Following this thread would reveal nothing new to me ... it's just the same stuff repeated.
Carry on.

You don't worship the Holy Father??? Traditionally, malfeasant popes were harshly criticized according to the precedent of Paul rebuking Peter's judaizing. Since Vatican II, wayward popes such as Paul6 and JP2 have been given a worshipful exemption from criticism by self-styled "conservatives." This behavior is known as "papalotry" in traditionalist circles.

Thats just your opinion. If you get a feeling that you are saved, boom, poof, you are saved.
And you wanted Luther to be part of 'your religion'?
Now you know why I thanked Luther for his obedience to God.
"Feelings" have NOTHING to do with it. The Christian life is all about FAITH. The RCC and Orthodox Catholics know nothing about faith - they say they have it because they are TOLD they have it and they don't question. We all have to learn at some point. The sooner the better - like today.
"For He says, "In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you." I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation.2 Cor 6:2

That's easy...Genesis to Revelation...Without the Apocrypha...66 Books... Who determined this canon?
To: D-fendr
Its not God Im worried about; it is those who needlessly and sadly choose to not to accept the abundant life Christ came to give us, rejecting the One Church and instead choosing to be a Church of One.
I worry for those who think: I am the Church. Okay...So you are not the Church...So what is the Church???

This should help.
Romans 7 - READ it First, then...
Romans 8 Life Through the Spirit 1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, 4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
5 Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6 The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. 7 The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to Gods law, nor can it do so. 8 Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.
9 You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. 10 But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. 11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.
12 Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligationbut it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. 13 For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.
14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. 15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship.[f] And by him we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are Gods children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirsheirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

Exodus 20:4-6 4 "You shall NOT make for yourself
a carved image,
or any likeness
of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, 6but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.

2 Peter 2:1
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 Peter 3:15-16
Bear in mind that our Lords patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. 16He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.
17Therefore, dear friends, since you already know this, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your secure position. 18But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.

The Book of Revelation shows Mary in heaven, but we say she died. How she got there is a mystery. No mystery at all...It ain't Mary...There's nothing you can say that will turn that woman into Mary...That woman is Israel...
