I can almost guarantee that Jefferson would not defend our current system, as you have. Perhaps he would be open to considering alternatives.

Monarchy is an alternative Jefferson saw and REJECTED, as any free man, any American would.

Only bootlicking servile dupes are waiting to be ruled, such sentiment is anathema to the American character.

I guess all the kneeling has gotten to you.

Now you want to kneel in your civic life as well.

many of us hopeful that our country will some day be restored to a Constitutional Republic. But it is hard to see how that will happen through the democratic election process.

And once restored, 3 serious flaws would have to be addressed with no easy solution:

1. There is no method to create a constitution that has an effective enforcement mechanism. (how do you stop the Supreme Court from ignoring the text, when they are appointed/confirmed by federal political figures?)
2. Political parties fill the void when there is no permanent central government. We have tyranny of the parties. How do you constitutionally ban parties?
3. Universal suffrage is a no go. And how do you stop people from voting themselves money out of the treasury?
