Pure fantasy. There is a rapture at the very end. The idea of a rapture that occurs years before the Second Coming (i.e., the "pre-tribulation rapture" believed by most Americans who believe in a "rapture") is false and was never taught prior to Darby.

The Tribulation period is a period of judgment on the earth.
True believers, those who have put their faith in Christ for salvation, have already been judged.
The other thing is that there’s simply no point in having believers taken out before the judgment if they’ve all been killed off for not taking the mark of the beast. Since they’ve already been killed off, there’s no need to rapture them, as described in Thessalonians.
Doctor, PLEASE ingore the protestant arrows and get this thing back on track. Just ignore them in the same way fighter bombers have to fly through flak. Just get to the target. I don’t care what they say.
I am an avid reader of Church mystics and find the Monarch difficult to envision. If this did occur, wouldn’t it be more likely a secular leader and not a bloodline monarch?
Even more important to me, the totality of Church mystics seem to be pointing to a natural disaster preceeding the political oppression. I am thinking about the following
St. Patrick;
“The ocean shall inundate Ireland seven years before the End so that the devil may not rule over that people….”
St. Nennus;
“The sea will come over Ireland seven years before the day of judgment”
St.Hildegard;
“The great nation in the ocean that is inhabited by people of different tribes and descent by an earthquake, storm and tidal waves will be devastated. It will be divided, and in great part submerged. That nation will also have many misfortunes at sea, and lose its colonies in the east through a Tiger and a Lion.” The Comet by its tremendous pressure, will force much out of the ocean and flood many countries, causing much want and many plagues.
