"These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so."

Why do you think that verse treats the Word and Scripture differently?

What was included in the Scriptures is what's different unless you use a Catholic Bible. Those who use the KJV or anything that doesn't include the entire OT and yet compare themselves to the Bereans are funny.

It wasn't the Word...It was the word...

Act 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

In this case, it was the word spoken to them...Any of the words spoken to them or read to them by the ministers and Apostles of Jesus Christ...

They received the word as true believers in Jesus Christ and they then searched the scriptures to see that they were true...

That may be out of the realm and reach of you philosophical religionists but that's what the verse says, in its simplicity...
