Just so everyone reading this also knows why this odd comment of yours was made, this is the statement from the Vatican II Code of Canon Law, #212. Where it certainly appeared, at least to me, that blind obedience IS demanded. It clearly states "bound to follow with Christian obedience". This along with the earlier ones I just reposted from #3264, sound to me like this is as stated. You may read it at http://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG1104/__PU.HTM :

Can. 212 §1. Conscious of their own responsibility, the Christian faithful are bound to follow with Christian obedience those things which the sacred pastors, inasmuch as they represent Christ, declare as teachers of the faith or establish as rulers of the Church.

Now, would you care to address this subject, or is there no answer other than further denigration of the posters?

"Now, would you care to address this subject,"

That is not a call to "blind obedience". The Church is very clear on its definition of obedience as I posted earlier (post #3309). You would have us believe that obedience means coerced subservience when in fact the Church asks for an eyes open acceptance of the Truth.

The irony is that it is you and much of Protestantism that demands blind obedience under the threat of hell, fire and brimstone and it is the Church that teaches that love conquers all.

"To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.” - Mark 12:33
