Oh, it most certainly was. It’s the only true church of Jesus there has ever been. All true believers in salvation through Jesus alone belong to it. Nobody who believes that works are needed for salvation belong to it.
Better check the historical record. There was ONE Church until 1054 AD....and it wasn’t Protestant
