You don’t get it.

Beck is a public person who because of his celebrity status is a defacto spokesperson of the Mormon church. He has made numerous statements in favor of the teachings of the mormon church and none to my knowledge that disavow the false teachings of the church.

Therefore, Christians have every right to caution others about his spiritual influence. In the same way that Oprah has led many people astray with her book endorsements, Beck is promoting the mormon faith and should be called out as one who doesn’t proclaim spiritual truth.

“You just don’t want to face up to it, but you know it is true and this is the reason so many people attacked me.”

That is form of mind-reading, which as you should know by now is not allowed on this forum. Quit playing the victim card for yourself and mormons....you are being personally attacked. It is your statements that are being challenged.

Your comment is both ignorant and peurile.

Come back to grown up table when you’re ready to stop casting unsupported allegations around.

Glen may believe in Christ, but his church believes in a different christ and a different nature of their christ.

I wonder if Glen will be able to recognize what the LdS church is teaching him about the nature of their christ or if they even will at risk of him leaving.

The church is really big on “mormon celebrity”.

For many years, Christians of various denominations were willing to live and let live with the Mormons, even after their opening shots across the bow against Protestants and Catholics.

Recently though, the Mormons have gone full tilt at the windmill in attempting to claim the mantle of Christianity as their own. They’re no longer content with being a religion of their own.

They want to be recognized as full fledged Christians, when it’s clear to many Christians that they aren’t. Even my family has gone from claiming they’re exclusively mormon, to claiming they’re christians of the mormon faith.

This is what has incurred the ire of many Bible only believing Christians.

Good post btw, I agree with you about Beck and the millions of other Mormons.

No, if you understood what mormonism teaches, you would see that although they teach and believe in a different god and christ, they want all Christians to bow to theirs. Christians are pushing back and this is the best you got?

It’s not a game.

The Mormons can go on their way, teaching and believing that; their god is an exalted man who earned his way to godhood, that he’s having sex in heaven creating spirit babies to populate the earth, that jesus and satan are offspring of this heavenly copulation and that jesus himself was somehow supposed to have attained the priviledge of residing with the mormon god in the highest heaven because he was married in a mormon like temple and earned his way there.

Just quit trying to claim that they follow and believe in the Christ of the Bible, and that the rest of us Christians are wrong for rejecting their brand.

I do get it, using your religion as a blunt political instrument to engage in a electronic lynching.

Nothing wrong with discussing Mormonism.

Putting someone’s name on the topic projects all of this discussion on to him.

Do you not care for your own souls?

Now if the Article kept to either Glen Beck as not a religious article discussing just the facts about Glen’s beliefs that we have documented proof / statements he made, that is ok.

Now if we engage in a discussion on Mormonism, that’s ok too.

Mixing the two just became a lynching mob.

You guys know I am right, you know it in your heart, if you can’t admit this, then you aren’t being honest with yourself.

I’d ike to know if all of you, put together, have advanced Jesus Christ as much as Beck has.
____________________________________________

How did Beck do that ???

Why do you think he had ???

Beck never mentioned the LORD Jesus Christ in his speeches in Israel...

The day before his DC event Beck said “Tomorrow is not going to be a Jesus thing” (Glenn Beck, TV show, Aug 27, 2010) to reassure his Mormon listeners..

At his event on Friday night, although many CXhristian pastors were invited some were disappointed to hear anything but the LORDS Jesus Christ advanced...

On his Aug 28 platform he “advanced” Islamic Imams and welcomed them as “brothers”

In Jerusalem Beck said “Three faiths, three ways/paths to god”

Thats not “advancing Jesus Christ”

Thats denying Him...

Those were not Christians running things in Israel...

Beck had Mormon handlers interupting the conversations of Christians on the busses and elsewhere when the words were too Christian or not Mormon enough or Becks agenda...

Beck has claimed all along that he is a Mormon...

and he has preached mormon doctrine...

if you didnt recognize many of his words as mormon doctrine you need to read the threads, get famililiar with what the mormons believe and listen to Becks words for yourself...

I listened or watched the whole DC event several times...

He preached Mormonism in DC...

Do Mormons lie or deceive???

Beck has ...

Even about which travel agency his followers should use to go to Israel

Becks way overpriced Israel trip cost more than $6000 with added on hidden fees when they got there

and was run by a Mormon religion owned travel agency called Voyager Travel..

Although Beck had to know he never let his audience know that Voyager was owned by the Mormons and their $6000 was going to the Mormom religion...

“You mean kind of like how some mormons use Billy Graham as “a target to vent their vitriol” against Christians ???”

Absolutely, that is an indication that they aren’t following Jesus’s example.

This is evidence against them.

Just as doing this to Glen Beck is evidence against us.

We are followers of Christ, we look to improve ourselves by mimicking Jesus with the help of the Apostles, the Saints, Our Priests, Bishops.

We need to be humble.

"But my understanding of what makes a Christian has to do with Jesus Christ and belief in his saving grace."

Mormons don't believe in salvation through grace. They attach a lot of other "riders" to the contract and believe that only once they reach judgement that they will have done enough (temple recommends, tithing, works, callings, etc.) for christ to apply his grace to cover whatever "balance" they have remaining.

Kid you are what you believe

There is no separating a guy from his chosen religion...

his religion influences much or what he thinks says and does...

As a Christian, I adhere to what the LORD Jesus Christ teaches me in His Bible...

I dont go to the pearl of great price for answers to lifes questions because I know that to be false teachings

Just as I dont go to the koran...

“You guys know I am right, you know it in your heart, if you can’t admit this, then you aren’t being honest with yourself.”

Again - quit trying to read minds! You don’t know what’s in anyone’s minds or hearts.

Nothing wrong with discussing Mormonism.
________________________________________________

How do you plan to do that when you claim to know nothing about the religion and you admitted you havent read the book of mormon ???

For someone who knows nothing you have sure denied a lot of what those who do know have said about mormonism...

Even those who have lived most or part of their lives in the cult have been challenged by you...

and those of us who have been strongly familiar with mormonism for up to decades, as I have, have also been told they are wrong etc...

How do you explain that ???

You explain it...not some unknown off screen “friend”

I wouldn’t have commented except for what I saw.

I felt I had to intercede just like Jesus did for the Prostitute.

I don’t need to know Mormonism to know what was going on here was wrong.

Why should I listen to the resentful haters here tell me "what Mormons believe" when I have talked to many directly? What gives you leave to speak for Mormons? Why should I credit your characterizations? The tone and attitude of these posters shows me an irrational animosity more than anything Christian.

I've listened to Beck since he started with Fox. He has mentioned Jesus Christ in a way highly daring for cable TV. He has reminded America many times that we will be held accountable for not helping Israel.

“Here’s a GOOD place to start looking...”

I’m well aware of the relevant passages, and like I said, they’re simply not conclusive.

I disagree with what happened on this forum, this wasn’t consistent with the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Maybe you know the literal side of the Bible but are lacking in the more important spiritual side.

Do you think Jesus would have taken part with this group in this electronic lynching? That should tell you everything you need to know.
