Of course they can. How about riding a bicycle and singing? How about sight-reading piano music? Or a choir sight-reading a new anthem? Or marching band members playing their instruments and reading their music while marching in formation?

Which is the cross of Christ..biking or singing..?

The examples you gave are not MEDITATING on 2 things at once ..they are rote behavior..

Your statement:

There is no way one can focus on the the events in the life of Christ and be concentrating on the hail Mary at the same time

My reply: Of course they can. How about riding a bicycle and singing? How about sight-reading piano music? Or a choir sight-reading a new anthem? Or marching band members playing their instruments and reading their music while marching in formation?

Your sarcastic question: Which is the cross of Christ..biking or singing..?

I don't know what you intend by that, but I do know I can hold my grandchild on my lap in front of the piano, and see his grandfather's exact expression of interest and thought, as he touches the keys one by one. At the same time, my heart can hold in memory my last embrace with his grandfather, as he reaches up to pat my face.

Thanks for asking, whatever.

My examples of complicated actions were intended to show that people are capable of complex and intricate behaviors, what was your question intended to show? That people are by and large ignorant? We all go by our experiences, don't we?

But you have definitely convinced me that YOU cannot hold an image of Christ being crowned with thorns, in your heart, while praising His mother. Congratulations!
