>>That only He Judges and that you don't get to proclaim your own salvation before He does?<<

You don’t believe what scripture says?

1 John 5:11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal lifethat believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

"My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one" (John 10: 27-30).

Romans 10:13. Let us also be secure in knowing that "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved"

I believe what Scripture says. I don't believe what individual Protestant Popes say.

1 John is an exhortation to the believers, indeed it is a letter intended to bolster belief amongst Christians. It does not say anything about surety. It is about belief.

John 10 says that nobody can rid a true believer of salvation. Jesus never said that one cannot reject salvation - indeed, much of the Gospels is about rejecting Him and the consequences.

Romans is also an exhortation similar to 1 John. Yet we must set it side by side with Jesus telling us that not every who says Lord, Lord is saved. So therefore there is something more beneath the surface that so few Protestants can see, much less fathom.

Do you really need to use pejoratives? I’ve noticed you do that rather often. Is it because you are insecure in your positions and feel the need to attempt to demean the person you are speaking to? It doesn’t work. IMO it demeans you and the positions you take.

I shall take that into account.

Twice in one post! How juvenile.

Stay tuned. I didn't do it for your benefit.

Ok, you want to talk about shams. You contend that the Protestants are and I contend that the Catholic Church is built on a sham. Let’s begin to compare.

Catholics use Revelation 12 as a base for the teachings about Mary. They use this verse to get you to believe that Mary is the “Queen of Heaven”. Revelation 12:1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:

Then they use the following verse as their evidence.

Revelation 12:2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

Then they skip some verses and use verse five to “reinforce” their contention that this is talking about Mary.

Revelation 12:5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

They claim the following verse is when Joseph and Mary took Jesus into Egypt to escape King Herod.

Revelation 12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

They use these verses to persuade people that they somehow have “the secrets” handed down from the Apostles that no other group of people have. It helps reinforce the notion that the Popes are successors to the Apostles. Without those two things the Catholic Church would be shown to be a cult. Without those two things there would be no power for the leadership in the Catholic Church.

But there is a problem with the interpretation of this chapter and that is that the woman in verse one is not talking about Mary. Their problems start already in the first chapter of Revelation as the entire book of revelation is dealing mainly with the time period of the tribulation. So we need to keep that in mind throughout Revelation. But we will just deal with the twelfth chapter here. The third verse already begins to unravel their version of scripture.

Revelation 12:3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

We will see that red dragon again later. That red dragon is Satan and is used 13 times in Revelation. Satan took a third of the Angels with him and cast them down to the earth. Then he stood before the woman. Here is where their failure begins to become obvious. Notice that they are now on the earth. If the woman is supposedly Mary how did she get back to earth if she is in heaven as the queen?

Revelation 12:4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

Now we will go to verse five and start being honest with interpretation. It’s talking about the woman being the nation of Israel. Jesus was after all a Jew. It was the nation of Israel that birthed Jesus.

Revelation 12:5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

Now we come to verse 6 where we can begin to tie it in with the prophecy of Daniel of the tribulation period.

Revelation 12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

There you have the restored nation of Israel being protected for the last half of the tribulation otherwise known as the great tribulation or Jacob’s trouble.

So you see, the entire Catholic Church is built on false interpretation of scripture. Was it a deliberate scam to gain control? Was it just human error that fed on itself? Was it God’s plan all along to allow Satan to use an earthly institution? Some say the Catholic Church is the “Whore” of Revelation. Only time will tell. Come quickly Lord Jesus.
