"One can only "blaspheme" God."

Show me a dictionary that only supports that definition and does not include holy personages or sacred things? All I can get from your poorly worded posting is that you do not consider the Mother of Jesus worthy of holy status........blasphemy.

God defines the definition. If God declares someone or something is holy, then there can be blasphemy. Like sin, I cannot blaspheme you, neither can you blaspheme or sin against me.

With Mary, only the Roman Catholic Church has declared her holy, not God. The dictionary is using blaspheme in a secular sense, like "He commited blasphemy against Islam."

And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. -Revelation 13:6
