Wowie! You really are out of the mainstream. I don't me that judgmentally, I just don't think I've ever met a Gnostic Docetist before. In our thinking, and I'm not really good on this, The Son of God has no beginning. But the Incarnation began at a specific instant. At that time The Son of God became Jesus. He was not the physical manifestation of the Trinity, he was the physical manifestation of one person of the Trinity, namely, God the Son. Jesus, "yielded up the Spirit" on the cross. But His body was resurrected, as ours will be. They will then be "spiritual bodies," as Paul says. But in our thinking that's still a human body. It's a resurrected human body. it's just not what Paul calls a "psychikon" body.

I pinged boatbums because she argues that the Trinity can be found in Scripture.

He was not the physical manifestation of the Trinity, he was the physical manifestation of one person of the Trinity, namely, God the Son.

That's not what scripture says...

1Ti 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

So if you are correct, the Holy Spirit as well as the Father each could have physical manifestations...And you call it what???

Gnostic Docetist

You guys are a trip...I'm a Gnostic Docetist because I believe what the scripture says...But the scripture does NOT say that God the Son was manifest in the flesh...It says God was manifest in the flesh...But what the hey, that's only scripture...
