Your argument is with Jerome

What? Your theory that James was the blood brother of Jesus is the same theory as Helvidius, which St. Jerome refutes.

Frankly, I believe Jesus had younger brothers and sisters as was to be expected of a normal Jewish marriage.

However, I did not state this in my post #869.

James - older or younger than Jesus?

I did raise some questions which you made no attempt to answer.

Please note: "(Of course this is assuming Joseph ever had any children and was also, as according to Jerome, a Perpetual Virgin."

I stated no theory. To the contrary, I stated a fact.

Jerome believed Joseph was also a Perpetual Virgin!

Yeah, younger, older, whatever, same theory refuted by St. Jerome.

However, I did not state this in my post #869. James - older or younger than Jesus?

Bad link, yes you did.

Further, if James was older than Jesus he would have accompanied his parents to the Passover...That is, assuming James was not so much older he was no longer with the immediate family. This leaves the whole nuther problem of the "much older James and his brothers accompanying Mary during Jesus' ministry.
And who cares: Older, younger, twins... James is not the blood brother of Jesus. Read the linked refutation of Helvidius and modern-day Helvidians.

I stated no theory.

Your theory is the same as Helvidius: James was the blood brother of Jesus. Refuted clearly by St. Jerome.

Past that, I'm not interested in playing wack-a-mole.
