Mat 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier [matters] of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
Mat 23:24 [Ye] blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.
Mat 23:25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
Mat 23:26 [Thou] blind Pharisee, cleanse first that [which is] within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.
Without Christ as Savior and Lord.. all one has is their works.. so how does one know when they have done enough ? Only the sacrifice of Christ can wash the inside of the cup
Until then... the name of Christ and His words are seen as an offense ...so much that the natural man thinks the work of Christ is a work of the devil ...
Remember the blind accused Christ of witchcraft too
And when a Catholic says, “May the Lord Jesus Christ, Risen Son of God Almighty and the Blessed Virgin, Savior of Mankind and my personal Lord and Savior, have mercy on all those who speak falsely and rudely about His Church, the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church!”

INDEED.
I’d think we weren’t doing our job . . . if we were well received by most of the RC’s hereon.
