(3)Besides, the Christians started it.
(4) The ONLY acceptable outcome is for the Christians to humble themselves (and to know themselves to have been humbled) before the Muslims, and either convert or live (and converse) under very "strait" restrictions.
(5)While there may be moderate Muslims who can contemplate peaceful coexistence with Christians, when the 'division' becomes apparent between Muslim and Christian, the moderate Muslims will side with the radicals against the Christians.
I think somewhere in here, toward the end, we see the dreadful and bloody reductio ad absurdum of the nominalist and voluntarist theology. Their resolution to the Euthyphro dilemma,namely "If God wills it, it is good on that account alone,' makes room for a dualistic and sundered world and heilsgeschichte, and permits the shattering of all moral norms in the pursuit of victory for God.
