How can they build their faith on a morally corrupt character?They just don't care about his [lack of] character.
They have to believe he was above reproach because the entirety of mormonism hinges upon him being a "godly" prophet.
The church and their cabal of apologetic liars are working overtime to revise his history. "New" books about that whoremonger are coming out all the time, making damn sure to omit his sordid behavior and failed prophecies.
Not forgetting his failure to obey commandments and revelations from the mormon god. He told one of the 12 year olds that god revealed to him that she was to be his first plural wife. But he couldn't wait, he got caught up with Fanny Alger.
