Well, you and I (hopefully) don’t shove God into that tidy little box. But as a bloodied veteran of some of those infamous Calvinism/Arminianism/No-Free-Will/Free-Will debates, I can say that we are in a minority, and that most of the Calvinists I’ve interacted with on FR would be simply horrified by Jesus saying, “I did not prepare [Hell] for men.”
I have my own reasons for doubting the veracity of this prophetic vision. But there is no getting around that fact that, if it were true, then Jesus’ statement that He did not prepare the Lake of Fire for men would be a total refutation of the kind of predestination held by Calvinists.
I would be interested to hear from some of the more hard-core Calvinists. On the other hand, I’m not sure I’m up for another one of those endless Free-Will/No-Free-Will debates. It’s already been a long week....
imho, Scripture makes it clear . . .
SCRIPTURE SAYS that hell was prepared for
THE DEVIL AND HIS ANGELS.
However, it’s also clear, that humans determined to share satan’s values and priorities will also be choosing to keep him company eternally.
In a sense it is . . . a kindness . . . evil in the presence of ALMIGHTY GOD would be even more excuciating.
THANKS FOR YOUR KIND WORDS.
I grew weary of those debates fast. The rigidities are soooo entrenched . . . it’s almost like exchanges with the rabid clique type RC’s.
