The context that would matter most if we Americans were thinking clearly is whether Islam is a religion as protected under the 1st amendment—and I don’t think it is. It is more a death cult, and as bray the great FReeper says “the militant arm of atheism.” Accepting Islam as worthy of 1st amendment protection is to sanctify murder and suicide as legitimate religious practice.
