I believe that scripture and tradition are inspired by the Holy spirit

If so, it would seem logical to assume you consider the scripture infallible, just as you consider the Pope infallible because of the presence of the Holy Spirit.

As has been said already, the Pope is only infalliable when he speaks ex cathedra, and only on matters of faith and morals.

No such limitations abound by your appeal that you are infalliable in biblical interpretation by the Holy Spirit.

So you are more powerful than the Pope! No Pope has ever said, “we believe that these books are self-evidently not inspired, ergo we will take them out of the canon.”

The flaw in your statement is that you presume the Holy Spirit is present there. I’m not saying He is or isn’t. I’m saying that the only human I can speak for is me, and the only human you can speak for is you. Our God is a VERY personal God.
