"Christ came to save sinners yes, He did not come to save them through false gods or false prophets."

As much as Protestants stamp their feet like petulant little children and demand God and the Church only pay attention to them God desires all to be saved and has a plan of Salvation for all. That plan will not be assisted or accomplished by either ignoring or condemning the non-Christians.

Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary use words. - St. Francis of Assisi

Never said He didn't. What I said was He DOESN'T do it THROUGH false religious systems. You are going to be hard pressed to find a Scripture passage that says, "Hey Christian! Join up with the Gnostics! Hey, those Arians, they're swell people, let's make them part of us!"

On the contrary, the Scriptures, the Apostles, the Church Fathers ALL unaminously condemned these heresies.

Refuting error does not mean the non-Christians are being ignored. It means they are being presented with the truth, so they may come out of the false and enter into the Kingdom of God.

Its not loving, and its not preaching the Gospel to condone heresy. That's the worst kind of hate.

Fixed it for ya.

In light of the fact that Catholics have been seen to post that once one is baptized in ANY denomination, they are by default "Catholic", and the insistence of the Catholic church that salvation is through it and it alone, your criticism of Protestants fails badly.......

Yeah, right. I have witnessed anti-Catholics in this forum, in unison, condemning Mother Theresa for not forcing the Gospel down the throats of the dying she was tending as a condition of mercy claiming she was going to hell.

Where? Could you point to the thread or specific posts?

Providing links would be helpful.

WE OBEY HIS WORD. We don't DEMAND anything. Only a catholic would add 'church'. It's all about JESUS, not a church. Why don't you know that?

Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary use words.

Cute but to preach the mouth needs to be open. Live the Gospel and use words when necessary. "Faith comes from HEARING and HEARING the Word of God". NL, what is the Gospel - Good News - you post about? And do you ever preach it?

I can't speak for any 'anti-catholics' who may have said this since it wasn't me, nor was I present at the time.

However, I can say that the Gospel can only be preached, it cannot be 'forced' down anyone's throat. Heretic, Catholic, or 'anti-catholic'. It is the Holy Spirit who does the saving and the drawing. Our job is to preach, that's it.

As for being 'anti-catholic' if you are referring to the hierarchy of the Magisterium with all its false decrees, heresies and blasphemies - yes count me in, but don't forget to include the Holy Spirit in your group - Its His Word which has spoken against such as well and which has been cut and pasted and shown to you many times on these various threads.

If you are referring to 'individual' catholics, no I am not anti at that point. I view them as souls in desperate need of hearing the real Gospel so that they might be saved. These individual catholics are mere victims of a corrupt magisterium. If I hated them, I would not be preaching to them, I would remain SILENT.

Context? Really?

Just made your case worse. But really—it’s not like you had any other choice.

"All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others."

The most disappointing and disgusting thing about these threads is that we must come into contact with dishonorable and deceitful people, anti-Catholics who do not see lying, insulting, and blaspheming as acceptable in service to their egos. Every topic and discussion is quickly dragged into the litter box in an attempt to drive Catholics from the discussion or to bait Catholics into similar reprehensible behavior.

With the sympathies and not always tacit approval of the mods and the willing participation of the Evil One Catholics must compromise their principles in order to defend the truth and their faith. I will follow your lead and abandon these threads to those who feel at home in the litter box.

Spoken like a true Catholic. The Christian charity just overflows from your posts.

Thanks yet again, for another reminder of why I left the Catholic church.

There is demonic influence in many of these threads, dear NL and it's easy to get caught up by them and cause a devout Christian to stumble.

I literally have had heart pain over some of things that get said on some threads, and it's not that I'm thinned skin either,it's the darkness of souls that I see having influence on little ones. I can only imagine the pain our Lord must of felt on the cross due to this and when people say unfathomable things against His mother, the Sacraments etc.. which I have read at times

I pray that some people will have the opportunity to confess and repent of things that have been said before they die .

Lord have Mercy!

Indeed there is which is precisely why I am inviting my Catholic brothers and sisters to give up active participation in the open Religion Forum for Lent and use the time normally spent in defense of the Church to pray, reflect, study and perform the works our call to Beatitude obliges us to.
