It wasn’t adequate to skip it. It was a pitiful attempt to paint me as a hypocrite that was immediately discredited. The fact that your persist says everything about your lack of character. That last statement is also not a statement on your faith. Just your character. Just like the comments on the others is about their lack of same.

I posted the part of your homepage that demonstrated the same character traits in you that you claim to abhor in others. It has not been discredited, in fact, every time you post another diatribe, you confirm what I pointed out to be correct. That you cannot see what is so plainly obvious to everyone else is what is truly pitiful. Tell us why the very first post to Gamecock said:

You have not only NOT addressed what was, in your view, incorrect in the article, you have lumped all that Gamecock included in his ping as members of his "coven" before any had a chance to even comment. You have slandered every one as being as witches (because that is what a coven is) and what angered me the most, you lumped us in with the Planned Parenthood supporters! How dare you! I am probably more Pro-life than you are.

Finally, I do not hate anyone. My own dear mother who lives in our home, who I take to Mass every week, is devoutly Roman Catholic. If I really hated Catholics, would I continue to care for her in these ways? Talk about character! Why not look in the mirror sometime and try to imagine your own heart before the Lord. Is the same hatred you accuse in others coloring your own?

The very first post also includes:

This is a pattern. This isn't just one misinformed post. It is deliberate and purposefully a lie. If you are one of his regular pings to this type of post, then whether I call you “Know Nothings” or “coven”, why would you be offended? It is how you behave. If you aren't, then don't include yourself in my description and you should be fine with it.

As for not debunking the whole lie, it wouldn't matter as it would pop up again tomorrow with a different title.

If you aren't part of the “Know Nothings”, then understand my unwillingness to let evil pass isn't aimed at you. I made sure Tennessee Nana knew that and two other posters also said she wasn't part of this crew.

This isn't about Protestantism. It is about standing up to bigots. That was clear on my home page. To take it out of context was wrong. To continue to do so is wrong. And that is that.

IrishCatholic seems to be expressing a frustration with a habit of some members of that group to ping a large number of Reformed (or otherwise staunchly Protestant) posters onto the thread whether or not it seems to be reasonable to do so. Here it wasn't so ridiculous, because the thread was posted by one of the members of the "Rowdy Protestant" ping list (I won't call you guys a coven... but I've shared the frustration of not knowing what to call you collectively); but I've seen other times when the group of you were pinged onto a Catholic thread in what seems to bea means of hijacking the thread. (I won't say that it is, because that would require me to read minds)

I've felt this frustration, but never knew what to call it; as of late, generally I leave the thread once you guys show up, because it isn't worth being there.

If said group were to seek actual discussion with Catholics, and police each other to ensure it is being done in a respectful manner, perhaps respect would be received in return. As it is, like it or not, you (as a group) are painted as anti-Catholic bigots, not worthy of the effort involved in giving genuine and well-thought explanation. I've hoped it would change, but it seems to be more of the same every time I come back to the RF.

What would your mother say about the slander against the Catholic Church that exists in the article, that you have chosen to at least tacitly agree with?
