I agree. I especially appreciated the testimonies of bishops Lattimer and Hooper who, without concern for their own lives, preached the truth of the Gospel from the word of God. Perhaps if the church of Rome had withdrawn from the power grabs and the siren call of wealth and prestige and instead fallen contrite upon the merciful throne of God's grace, things would be much different today. Regardless, whether it was Luther or Wycliffe or Cromwell, God always reserves for himself a remnant that does not bow the knee to any but him. That we all take comfort in. He has indeed preserved his church from falling and all those who name the name of Jesus Christ in humble faith and trust are testament to his great and wonderful promises.
