What? Am I reading this correctly. Here Hinckley appears to be speaking by satellite from Jerusalem. He's talking about Jerusalem for the first five paragraphs of this speech.

He could, from a sheer Mormon perspective carry on the topic of Jerusalem into the sixth graph...but he doesn't.

He switches to Bethlehem. Why? 'Cause the Bible apparently trumps the Book of Mormon, which claimed that Jesus was born in Jerusalem.

Why doesn't Hinckley just pull out that BoM verse & quote it -- since he was already on the subject of Jerusalem & apparently speaking from there?

Yet another in a long line of old and tired non-issues easily found at the links I provide. Still regurgitated by anti-Mormon propagandists. Still not an issue.
