That Christ was a God still doesn’t mean that he was God almighty .... since he also considers God the Father his God as in John 17:10

Interesting how you cherry pick John 17 apart. You've missed these verses:

John 17:21 - 21that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.

John 17:22 - 22"The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one;

Jesus claimed to be ONE with God the Father in John 17.

John 14:9 - "Jesus said to him, "Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?

John 14:7 - " If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him."

In those verses preceding John 17 Christ again claims to be the Father - they are ONE.

Either Christ is a liar, or the Mormon church are the liars distorting what Christ actually SAID about Himself.

My money's on the abyssmal teaching of the LDS.

I’m fond of calling that scene in John 14 ‘Philip’s Physics Lesson’.
