Hmmm. I think the Church is on it’s way back up again in the U.S. I am in my early 30’s, was poorly catechized in the 80’s, and despite that, am now on fire for my faith. So are alot of others I know.

I agree.

And it isn’t really about the numbers right now-—IMHO the relatively small group of young and dedicated Catholics will make a notable difference in another 10-15 years.

I concur. I am a near 30 year convert who is deeply involved in church activities. I see a big upsurge in young people’s involvement, although my experience may be skewed by the Church’s strength here in Nebraska.
