Catholics Discriminated Against UFO Cult (Canada Human Rights Council)
Creative Minority Report ^ | 1/4/2011 | Matt Archbold

OK. Stories don't get crazier than this. Alright maybe the whole thing with thousands of birds falling dead out of the sky in Arkansas is a bit crazier but only by a little bit. This news story concerning a Catholic school, a UFO cult, and a human rights tribunal is lunacy. Madness. But the wacko-osity doesn't start with the tribunal's ruling that a Catholic school board discriminated against a UFO Cult. Oh no. The crazy was ushered in much much earlier.

Get this.

Lifesite News.com reports:

The Ontario Human Rights Tribunal has ordered a Catholic school board to compensate three members of a prominent UFO cult after finding the board guilty of religious discrimination.

Daniel, Michel, and Sylvie Chabot, members of the Raelian cult, were hired in November 2006 by the Conseil Scolaire Catholique Franco-Nord to offer ‘emotional pedagogy’ training sessions for teachers. They delivered such sessions through what they call the Academy of Pleasurology and Emotional Intelligence (APEI).
OK. Did you get that? They were actually hired to offer "emotional pedagogy" through the Academy of Pleasurology and Emotional Intelligence? Hired! That means they were being paid! Paid for...pleasurology? Isn't "pleasurology" something a stripper tells her mother's friends that she does for a living to make it sound all smarty pants -if strippers wore smarty pants?

Anyway, the board in 2007 was shocked! shocked!!!!! to learn that the pleasurologists/emotional pedagogists were...uhm...a bit loony. Who'd a thunk it, right?

The Catholic board kicked them to the curb when they discovered that they belonged to a UFO cult, which claims that humans were planted on Earth by benevolent extraterrestrials.
The Raelian sect was founded by former French sports journalist Claude Vorilhon, now known as ‘Rael’, in 1973 after he claimed that he had an encounter with aliens. The cult is known for its strong support of human cloning, which is based on their belief that cloning will usher in a paradise where people live forever.
Aren't those beliefs kind of antithetical to what the Church teaches? A little?

Oh, and the dude in the UFO cult who sued calls himself a bishop. (Maybe that's why the school board didn't listen to him. They just reflexively don't listen to bishops.)

Oh and by the way, the "UFO bishop" kinda' sues everyone he comes in contact with. And I mean everyone.
Daniel Chabot, who calls himself a bishop, said they have filed dozens of human rights complaints, but this is the first to side with them. “It took us 17 years of relentless battles and one case before a Human Rights Tribunal in Ontario to finally have our voices heard,” he stated in a press release.
So this is a lesson for everyone. If you're going to sue someone, make sure you sue the Catholic Church because your chances of winning go up pretty darn high.

Human Rights tribunals seem always to be on the lookout for human rights that don't involve Christian humans. So the Catholic school board is paying some unspecified amount to the UFO cultists.

Now, you've got to admit that's the wackiest story you've read in a while.

Oh by the way, Dennis Kucinich could not be reached for comment. I really tried.

>>Now, you’ve got to admit that’s the wackiest story you’ve read in a while.<<

Sadly, given the Biblical predictions about the apostasy of the last days, these types of stories will become more commonplace as we get closer to the end of days. On our knees in prayer is our best defense.

That's scary right there. It's like one of those scenarios where you can see three people falling about laughing but you can hear four.

For all it's talk of spirituality the world is becoming more hollow by the day and we all know that nature abhors a vacuum.

The Church should appeal on the grounds that the Human Rights Tribunal is itself discriminating against the aliens by forcing human notions of rights on them, and also appeal on jurisdictional grounds by arguing that the Tribunal’s authority is restricted to cases of human rights and not alien ones.

Certainly this UFO cult is whacky, but what was this church thinking when it had to go outside itself to find counselors to deal with student emotional stress? Aren’t priests in the RCC trained to handle this? Aren’t there any lay Catholics who would weave their faith practices into their psychology? The whole thing sounds absurd and a lesson learned.

A church should have the right to descriminate in its own domain. Canada is going nuts.

I don’t think there is an appeals process. The Human Rights Tribunals are not part of the regular court system or whatever. Mark Steyn and Ezra Levant went through this for years because their magazine reprinted the Muhammad cartoons.

Can we give up on the idea that Canada is some sort of an “enlightened” liberal democracy when it has these Star Chambers fining anyone who says anything Muslims, Jews, minorities (or space aliens) don’t like to hear?

Conseil scolaire catholique Franco-Nord operates 14 French catholic elementary schools and 3 French catholic secondary schools in Mattawa, Bonfield, Astorville, Thorne, North Bay, Sturgeon Falls, River Valley, and Verner. These schools offer a continuous French-language program starting in junior kindergarten and going on through to grade twelve. There are over 200 catholic French-language schools throughout the province of Ontario....

....As a faith-based school system, Conseil scolaire catholique Franco-Nord supports parents who want their children to develop spiritually and to have a strong knowledge of the teachings of Jesus. Our students participate in classes in religious studies and are given the opportunity to express their faith in community service as well as religious celebrations. There are no tuition fees for residents of Ontario.

They should bump it up to the Intergalactic Supreme Court....

It would take them 25,000 years at light speed to get to the galactic core.... Good luck with that :)

Sadly, given the Biblical predictions about the apostasy of the last days, these types of stories will become more commonplace as we get closer to the end of days.

How much closer can we get in your world? You’ve already predicted the destruction of the dome of the rock mosque in Jerusalem, for this year, setting the stage for the Ezekiel 38-39 conflict within seven years is it?

Unless you wish to make some revisions to your prognostications.

ROFL Well, that shows what you really know about what prophecy really teaches. I would say that the Dome could well be gone after this year.

I freely admit that I cannot keep straight all the futurist theories about what may or may not happen when.

Trying to keep up with and debunk this futurist swill is like playing whack-a-mole. Just when you think you have one this one licked, another pops up over there.

It’s been my experience that every viewpoint out there has some truth built in but veers off to try to add to or reinforce their point of view. If they start from a pre conceived point of view they have no chance at truth. There are some on my side of the issue that I disagree on some things. It’s when I find an underlying principle that I begin to dismiss viewpoints. Preterism would be one I totally disagree with starting with the dating of Revelation. My name starts with Cynical for a reason.

Fixed it for ya.

A big part of the wild-eyed speculation I see these days revolves around supposed goings on WRT a nephelim resurgence. As if Jesus didn't tell us what "as in the days of Noah" meant.
