If you work at it, maybe you can get a good sub-argument going on this thread between Calvinists and Catholics.

There was a thread a few months ago in the RF with over 10,000 posts that pretty much exhausted that argument. I know, because I wasted a lot of valuable hours there.

Pretty much my point, although I’m too canny to get sucked into that particular quagmire. :)

A number of particularly vicious wars were fought over the issue, so it doesn’t seem likely we’ll settle it here.
