If you work at it, maybe you can get a good sub-argument going on this thread between Calvinists and Catholics.
I’m surprised by the number of posters who seem surprised this is Mormon doctrine. I’m no expert, but I’ve known for a long time they consider Joe to be an Apostle and Prophet.
In fact, the top dog Mormons today are still considered Apostles of Jesus Christ, I believe.
The whole controversy strikes me as somewhat like being outraged to discover the Pope claims infallibility.
I’m a little confused by what you said. Not all sinners are automatically saved by the Grace of Jesus Christ. Is that what you were saying there?

Not if they reject grace in favor of works which both the LDS and JW’s do. Been there, done that, got the H*** out and got saved by Grace.
