I think there's a biblical reference to that....something like a lack of understanding will kill you....

As I said earlier, Mormons use Christian vocabulary but not Christian dictionary. The redefine words to suit their theology (and a list of those words was posted up thread).
Part of the Mormon ‘hook’ is getting people who don’t know better to think they are just another denomination. Only after you join do you start do find out otherwise.
Of course people do just that. I recently watched such a debate which proved very interesting..as it was between Muslims and Muslims who have converted to Christianity. Another was between staunch Muslims and so called moderate Muslims who oppose each other...and understandable why they would.
Muslims who have come to Christ are few..and they recognize this...but they are very much involved with reaching Muslims for they understand the falsehoood of Islam. Just as those here who have left Mormonism... understand the traps of Mormonism.
So Do not be too harsh about them Tara...they are called and assigned to rescue those caught in Mormonism. They understand far better than those on the outside what it takes to break thru the walls....and it is not uncommon in dealing with any false teachings that there comes a time to tear down those walls and it can get loud and you'll see the dust in the air as it's done. It is better to let them go about their work or one may find themselves interferring in Gods work.

DelphiUser and Paragon Defender never had worthy answers to your challenges, and didn’t even try to refute their own religion’s positions. Satan has a great hold on their “church”. No other religion has tried to re-write the truth of Jesus Christ. That is why Mormons are an offense to Christians.
TaraP is correct when saying no one is saved except the Holy Spirit calls them. The problem with Mormons is they are the only religion in the world attempting to re-write what the Holy Spirit has done and said.

Yet when Mormons say this to TaraP, the “Jesus” and the “Father” they speak of are not the true God we believe in… Mormons believe their “Jesus” and “Father” are former human beings who lived on a planet, died, and then became god. Our God may try to correct this false belief in Mormons, but if Mormons refuse the truth and urging of the Holy Spirit, these Mormons will go to Hell.
Again, true, TaraP says God has already won the battle against untruth; he does not need our help. However, Jesus has called us to speak truth to the world. Only God’s grace and love allows Mormons more time to listen to the truth.
