Trying to push a perverted “gospel” on what is supposed to be primarily a news and political site is invasive and offensive.
The LDS threads are fashioned to be in-your-face argumentative. That causes discord and detracts from the good that FR does.
If you and your mormon friends would be respectful and follow Jim Robinson’s direction, you could put this issue to rest. It is, after all, his site, and he has the right to run it as he sees fit.
Your invented theology is offensive to many of us, but we can still be associates and workers together in conservative causes if you would just leave your book of mormon in the drawer with your holy underwear when you’re on FR.
So do most thinking people.
All credible scholarly analysis leads to the conclusion that the book of mormon is just as Christian as the book of mohammed (koran).
Those who disagree do so because their house of cards world would fall apart if they allowed themselves to consider reality.

You can be a great guy, and stand with me, a devout convert to the Catholic Church in the CS Lewis tradition, in all sorts of good causes. But the LDS “secret” dogma which is all refutable tosh really is off-putting.
These LDS posts keep turning up, and I wish they could be kept out of sight on our beloved freerepublic, because I really do do not want to wade into the theological swamp constantly. Like small children, I would rather just love my Mormon brothers, but not hear from them about religious matters.
Uh...You'd best check with ROME again, for I don't THINK the POPE considers them to be, ahem, Brothers.
